I first stepped on a yoga mat years ago while I was training as a classical ballet dancer. By no means did I have a “yoga practice,” it was simply exercise and a way to increase flexibility and strength to improve my dancing. Little did I know that the seed had been planted. Fast forward a bit and after retiring from nearly 20 years of dancing and 10 years of teaching ballet - I got on my mat again with new intentions for change and growth in my life. The attraction was immediate and I embraced a love and dedication for the practice that continues to shape and teach me daily. The ever changing and evolving practice of yoga is what keeps me coming to my mat. Always exploring, always growing, and always learning. This practice has introduced me to some of the most important people in my life and to students who continue to be my greatest inspiration. This practice has been my vehicle for moving me through this life and shaping who I have become. I am forever grateful.
Come to one of my classes and you can expect a very breath centered class that will challenge and invigorate the body safely, while providing the necessary opportunity to link the physical practice with that of the mind and spirit. Dancing on our mats with breath as our music. I show up to my classes with a fun, lighthearted energy. You can expect laughter, as its good for the soul, mixed with those necessary moments of quiet and pause. I teach with the hope that students will leave feeling inspired, confident, and ready to face life’s beauties and challenges.
I began teaching in July 2014 and completed my 200 hour certification with Charm City Yoga in December 2014. Forever a student, I've attended countless workshops, classes and intensives on various aspects of the practice.
Certified in Aerial Yoga and Prenatal Yoga as well.
